Rate

As of September 2024, the rate for a 60 minute counselling session is $200. Ninety minute and two hour appointments are also available.

NIHB & ISC

Tanya is an approved service provider for NIHB and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC). ISC has a few different programs under which you may be covered. Programs include the Indian Residential School Reconciliation Health Support Program (IRS RHSP), Indian Day School (IDS), and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). If you are wondering if your services are covered, please feel free to ask. We are able to do the paperwork necessary on your behalf.

Insurance

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. It is best to contact your provider to confirm how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

We recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

• Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

• Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

Direct Billing

To make accessing our services easier, we are now piloting direct billing for Blue Cross and are adding more insurance companies to our direct billing list. We are hopeful that Canada Life will be added in the near future. Please feel free to ask.

Tax Deductible

Counselling/Psychotherapy fees are tax deductible and can be submitted with your income taxes.

Payment

We accept all major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa & American Express) as well as cash and email money transfers.

Cancellation Policy

To ensure that all clients receive the best possible care, we require 48 hours’ notice for any appointment changes of cancellations. You can cancel directly on Jane,  the online booking platform, or by emailing / texting if you prefer. If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours notice, or do not attend your session, you will be charged the full session fee. 

We understand that emergencies happen. In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate unforeseen circumstances!
